Notes:

Spotted at the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary.Resembled the more commonly seen Brahminy Kite, except that it has a yellow-throat, hence 'Yellow-throated' in its name, but have not been able to locate such a name on the net.
According to NoahCitizen, "there is apparently a subspecies of brahminy kite that has more tan-cinnamon-yellowish feathers on the throat and breast."

I am pretty sure that this is a Brahminy Kite. Please add the scientific name to the spotting. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Noah for the research. Let's call it a Brahminy Kite then, until someone objects...I looked to see if there was a way to contact the Cotiago Wildlife Sanctuary, but no contact info on the internet.

There is apparently a subspecies of brahminy kite that has more tan-cinnamon-yellowish feathers on the throat and breast. It could be that one, as it is located usually on the coast. I never found a picture to confirm.

hi Noah, That's what puzzled me - I saw the name on a sign in the reserve, and the bird happened to be on a tree nearby, but couldn't find any name that matched on the net. Perhaps it's a subspecies of the Brahminy Kite ...?

Good challenge... According to the litterature, there is no "yellow-throated..." kite / eagle / buzzard... in India. Still looking.
