Description:

A small, gray shelled sea snail. Nerita snails are herbivorous.

Habitat:

This was seen in a rocky Pacific tide pool. Nerita snails are present worldwide in tropical waters.

Notes:

Unsure of the species, it may be N. picea, commonly known as the Pipipi, as suggested.

Allen.hoof, thanks so much for the info and suggestion! I actually spotted a lot of black shelled snails nearby this one, so you're right about the habitat. I'm leaning toward N. picea, but I can't be sure. Until someone else can confirm, I'll put Nerita as the genus and leave the species blank.
This is almost certainly a species of family Neritidae, possibly pipipi, nerita picea, though that species normally--but not always--has a black shell. It was spotted in that species' normal habitat.
