Field Notes

Description:

Bright orange bugs to 15mm long. Congregating on the underside of a broad leaf. It was a bright tropical sunny day so were probably escaping the heat.

Habitat:

Spotted in suburban garden, Cairns QLD

Hello. A fine spotting for sure! Unfortunately it doesn't really fit the "Brooding behavior in insects and other invertebrates" mission. As the mission statement reads "Both the parent(s) and young should be featured together in some of the photos. It is not enough to include a species that is known to engage in this activity, your spotting also NEEDS TO SHOW IT." Your other Harlequin Bug spotting does this perfectly!
