I know what you mean! We got 17 inches of snow last week, then it was in the 70's. No snakes are out yet up here, soon though :)

Sweet look forward to seeing the photos! Weather has been so back in forth in Florida lately the snakes dont know what to do.

You aren't alone, don't worry haha. I leave for a 9 day trip tomorrow to south Texas, I hope to come back with lots of snake photos. Still waiting on my first snake of the year!

I hate missing the guaranteed stuff! Makes me feel like I suck at herping haha

Lucky haha every trip to N. Florida ive been guaranteed a copperhead in certain spots and have been skunked everytime. Oh well thats the burden of herping

I need a lot more before I finish the venomous species in Texas, but I do have the Southern Copperhead, it's the most common species at my study site :) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14958212

This is the most common snake I find, atleast 6 or more everytime I go to one of my spots during the right time of year that is.
