Description:
A bracket fungus that causes white rot and butt rot on living hardwoods.

This is the first spotting of this species on Project Noah.
Habitat:
Growing on a tree that had fallen across a creek.
Notes:
This fungus is very similar to Ganoderma applanatum, which is a European species which does not occur in the US.
