Field Notes

Description:

Velvety, Cinnamon brown fruiting bodies. They were very soft and spongy, but tough. The flesh exudes a red liquid when young. Pores were white. Sizes ranged from 4-15cm wide.

Habitat:

Growing on a snag in a mixed forest.
