Field Notes

Description:

Mostly gray w/ black on its wings and from its beak through the eyes towards the back of the head.

Habitat:

Likes open areas w/ trees from which to spot insects and small reptiles to snag w/ its hooked bill. This specimen was spotted in a palm tree at a County park that was at a beach area located on the Gulf of Mexico. It was not unusual to see it on repeated occasions to the park.
