Field Notes

Description:

Bats with really large ears...now I know why they say bat ears.

Habitat:

Inside one of the temples in the Khajuraho group of temples, which is a UNESCO World heritage site and built between AD 900 and 1130. There was only this temple that the bats had colonized and they took absolutely no notice of the humans.

I couldn't agree more, Sukanya. People can be so blind, but that's probably the best camouflage of all. But then, one day someone may actually look up and they will see with fresh eyes, and that could be the very beginning of a great love of the natural world. One little spark.....
