Description:

I suspect these are the tiny emerging fronds of a spleenwort. I was amazed at how tiny and yet how detailed the leaves were!

Habitat:

Growing amid moss and liverwort and lichen on soil near the shelter of an overhanging rock

Notes:

On top of Kennesaw Mountain
