Description:
We found this caterpillar hanging off a thread connected to a web, but it was still alive, so we pulled it off and set it on a book. This caterpillar had two black antennas, a reddish-maroonish head and rear, with a black body with white spots. The texture of the caterpillar was fuzzy and had some spikes. The caterpillar was not more than 1.5 centimeters in length, and 2.5 millimeters in width.
Habitat:
We found this in a secondary rainforest, under a canopy of trees and tall plants. It was camouflaged into the leaves and branches.
