Field Notes

Description:

The maples down here in Florida already have tiny, hot pink winged seeds on them!

Habitat:

In North Central Florida, the red maples prosper more where they are either tended, (such as in this park), or where their toes can stay moist, such as in a lower-level hammock.

Yeppers, these are red maple seeds- and I agree with you; these are the reddest red maple seeds I've ever seen as well!
Wow, these are red maple seeds/samaras? Pretty bright red for Florida. Always make me think of back home when I see them. That would be Ohio for me.
