Field Notes

Description:

One of about 35 young trout found during fish survey portion of habitat quality assessment of Jacoby Creek. ~ 13cm

Habitat:

Small stream with lots of good structural cover (logs, overhanging debris, etc.)

Notes:

Good numbers of aquatic inverts found. Plecoptera, Odonata, Trichoptera. Additonally large numbers of Coastal Giant Salamander ( Dicamptodon tenebrosus) up to 15cm in length and several American Dippers ( Cinclus mexicanus).
