Field Notes

Description:

Violet grey with obscure bands and markings, with strange resting position of the wings and body. Abdomen is pointed in the air at rest.

Habitat:

Spotted on a sheet hanging on my porch with black lights and halogens shining on it at night to attract moths. We live in a gated lake community surrounded by rural agricultural land, and some wooded areas.
