Description:
A small epiphytic fern that that attaches to hosts (trees) to collect air, water, and nutrients that gather on the outer surfaces of the host. It is known to look as it is dead until there is rain when it "resurrects" and looks vibrant.
Habitat:
It is known to reside in hardwood forests.
Notes:
This spotting was observed on a Botany Hike this date at Brooker Creek Preserve in Pinellas County, FL.
