Field Notes

Description:

Small turtle, around 1 inch in length. Lives with red ear sliders in the same environment. Has orange dots on the sides of its chell as well as bieng orange on the bottom. Like the red ear slider this turtle has coloration behind its eyes but the color is yellow.

Habitat:

Was seen in dense aquatic foilage and roots. Found in a man made lake used for recreational fishing.

Thanks, I have seen red ear sliders in the area before but this turtle was unfamiliar to me.
