Description:

A tropical evergreen whose fruit is sometimes made into a jelly or wine. The berry is colored from dark pink to red; and is an important survival food for birds. It is native to the Southeast United States.

Habitat:

It can do well in most types of soil. It prefers partially shaded areas w/ some moisture.
