Description:

Callidulidae, Lepidoptera.
For those of you who have issues differentiating butterflies from moths and vice versa, this individual will NOT help you at all….
This is a Butterfly Moth. It rests with it’s wings in a butterfly-like upright position and flies during the day. It even has butterfly-ish eyes. There are only eight known genera of this family of moths and they are restricted to tropical South-East Asia, Australasia and Madagascar.
