Field Notes

Description:

This plant was less than 1 meter in height and had beautiful pink flowers. The flowers had 5 partially overlapped petals and its center is darker than the rest of the flower. It has green leaves and green stems. The flower measured approximately 4-5 cm in diameter.

Habitat:

These flowers were growing in Singapore Botanic Gardens. The climate there was humid, because it recently rained, but the flowers were in an area where it can be exposed to full-sunlight. I spotted them at 6:55 PM.

Notes:

In cool conditions, the Cherries Jubilee flower can change color for more saturate. The flowers twist around in a specific direction. Also, all parts of the plant are toxic if eaten.
