Field Notes

Description:

These Baboons were quite happily munching on some tasty leaves they had found around the grounds of Amboseli, The one to the right is a male and the one infront is a juvenile, this combination has often been documented and is believed to avoid aggression from higher ranking males almost like a passport to be there. They live in large groups of up to 200 and are omnivorous but as seen here do tend to favour leaves and fruit.

Habitat:

Amboseli national Park. Kenya.
