Field Notes

Description:

These woodpeckers have a dark red head, with black and white on the wings and a white breast.

Habitat:

A wooded area very close to a neighborhood, a highway, and some soccer fields (fairly urban area; it's amazing how many birds you can find/hear in that little tiny patch of trees).

Notes:

This was my first red headed woodpecker. I had some more photos, but I wasn't able to upload them (not a fault of Project Noah).
