Description:

The basically green fern turns over some fronds that are fertile which become the cinnamon color for which the fern gets its name.

Habitat:

Large colonies in swampy areas.

Notes:

This spotting was observed on a Botany Hike this date at Brooker Creek Preserve in Pinellas County, FL.
