Field Notes

Description:

These birds breed seasonally and then migrate away. They were not in Sepilok area at the moment but we could see their beautiful nest constructions. Notice that the entrance hole is a downward facing shaft to deter access by predatory tree snakes.

Habitat:

Sepilok, Sabah.
