Pink-winged Phasma

I found this large stick insect (10cm long) dead outside my back door. The first four shots are taken in the middle of the day when the light was better, and the last two are how I found it in the early morning - first lying on its back, and then after I flipped it over. I am pretty sure I have the ID correct; however, in all the resources I've looked at, it says it lives in south-east Australia around the Murray Darling basin and the Atlas of Living Australia shows no recorded sightings in south-east Queensland. About this time last year, though, my husband and I were bushwalking near Nambour and saw this: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/9030944 I suspect it's a wing from the same sort of insect.
