Field Notes

Description:

Beetle to 15mm body length, big bulging eyes, fast moving. If it wasn't for the cream pattern around the edge of the elytra I would not have seen it. I love the pattern on its back!

Habitat:

Spotted at the summit of Mt Pauanui, New Zealand
