Field Notes

Description:

I believe it's a juvenile or a female, as there isn't really any prominent red as there is on adult males. As most of the hummingbirds go to warmer areas for the winter, Anna's hummingbirds stick around.

Habitat:

Slightly forested area

Notes:

This little guy spent about 5 minutes with me, I kept creeping closer until the bushes held me back. He didn't seem bothered by me, but eventually flew away.
