Description:
The Clidemia Hirta, mostly known as Koster's Curse, is hairy, that makes it feel very soft, and leathery. One of this plants' leafs I measured was 14 centermeters long, and 8 centermeters wide. It has an alternate simple arrangement, elliptical serrate shape, ciliate margin, and has a netted pinnate leaf venation, arrangement is opposite.
Habitat:
Koster's Curse, was found in the Singapore American School rainforest. Singapore is located off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, 85 miles north of the equator.
Notes:
This plant can reproduce quickly, and can grow up to 5 meters high. Because it can reproduce so quickly, it ends up being a danger to ensitive habitats and native plant communities. It also, can cause millions of dollars damage to primary production because it can grow in soil without any natural predators, so it overwhelms all the native plants.
