Field Notes

Description:

Humming bird with iridescent green body with some areas grey and iridescent reddish-pink feathers that catch the light. Without the light they look pale. This was taken on an overcast day so it picked up some reflecting light

Habitat:

This area is in a valley with large hills/small mountains surrounding. Mixed Willows, Sycamore, conifers and Oak.

Thank you. Some non birders asked me what I was taking pictures of and I pointed to this hummingbird and the light was hitting it just right.

Thank you Andrea. Perfect Easter Egg look. It was overcast that day, some people asked me what was flashing the beautiful colors so I took the picture to give them a close up look.

Not sure but I think the overcast day helped make the great coloring in the flashing. Perfect for Easter.
