Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful, predominantly green bird that has colourful facial markings; blue sides with a black eye stripe and a yellow and chestnut coloured throat.

Habitat:

This species undertakes a yearly migration and is therefore only seen in Qatar briefly during the end of March towards April and in autumn from September to October.

Notes:

I have been counting down the days for these lovely birds to arrive and actually shrieked when I spotted this first one today!
