Field Notes

Description:

When dry the top side was very finely velvety or silky. When I boiled them up the water smelled and tasted like potatoes. Growing on the stump of a small felled tree. I thought Trametes versicolor but experts on mycotopia.net don't think it's Trametes at all!

cm I have samples but might not keep them
