Field Notes

Description:

Small Tit species, gray with yellow face. Also a small rusty patch on the shoulder. Immature birds lack the coloring.
Image #2 is nest building. The nest is a tangle of small twigs and in this case some berries attached. They build them on branches. The opening is on the side of the nest.
Image #3 is an immature Verdin.

Habitat:

These were spotted wooded area along side a dry creek.
