This plant has no flowers or fruit. The leaves of the plant are dark purple colored with a hint of dark green. The leaf shape is lanceolate. The arrangement is whorled. The margin is entire and the venation is netted pinnate. The texture of the leaves is soft with no hair. Some of thee leaves are diseased. The bark of the plant is a purple-brown color. It is slick and smooth, it is also thin. The height of the plant is about 1-2ft. The root system is underground.
