Description:

Small duck-like bird, also called Dabchick. Rufous neck. A distinct white patch at the gape. Good swimmer.

Habitat:

We were driving through Madhya Pradesh, India and crossed a bridge ...there was no traffic whatsoever and we got down to take a look at the river below and spotted many birds...one of which was this one.
