Approximately 1 inch long red body with clear wings

Notes:

I noticed this insect on the outside wall of my house underneath my outdoor light at approximately 9 o'clock pm. - sorry for poor quality pictures but the buzzing sound that this insect was making creeped me out and I didn't want to get any closer-
