Description:

Yellow-orange moth with purple-blue markings about 1 cm long, the hind tips of the underwings are white. Family Erebidae. This moth has also been spotted in the southern tropical region of the State of Chiapas about 2 hours north of Tapachula.

Habitat:

Attracted to the parking lights of a shopping mall on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters. The third and 4th pictures were taken on 6 Abril 2014 at an ultraviolet light in the garden. The 5th picture was taken at the lights of a Gas Station on a rainy night, San Cristobal de Las Casas on 10 Jun 2015.
