Field Notes

Description:

This is a tiny spider that is about 1cm long and wide. It is entirely black. When I first saw it, I thought it was an ant. But when I saw its legs I figured it could be another tiny spider. As you can see in the photo, the spider has four legs on one side and only two legs on the other. This spider was really quick and kept trying to run away from me, and I finally had the chance to take a photo while it was snacking on an orange drop of fruit liquid (?).

Habitat:

I found this in a secondary rainforest located in Singapore American School, off the trail.
