Description:
Compared with the common Kamansi tree (Artocarpus camansi; Breadnut / Seeded Breadfruit) and Rimas (A. altilis; Breadfruit) cultivated for their edible fruits, this spotting's leaves are not serrated, and the fruits are smaller.
The name Artocarpus is derived from the Greek words artos ("bread") and karpos ("fruit").
Habitat:
River bank in Brgy. Malupak, Lucban, Province of Quezon, near Mt. Banahaw de Lucban.
Notes:
Although I got some suggestions, ID still cannot be ascertained. Some suggested IDs were: Antipolo (A. blancoi), Chipuho / Tipuho (A. treculianus), Kolo (another local name for A. altilis, it seems), Gumihan (A. sericicarpus, very similar to the delicious Marang fruit, A. odoratissimus). These are either endemic or native to the Philippines.
