Field Notes

Description:

Two to 3 individual Leaf Miners burrowing between the layers of the leaf. The tiny brown lines are the earliest instars, the size of the tunnels grow as the larva feeds. It will eventually pupate at the widest end of the tunnel.

Habitat:

River Ravine of the Corazon del Fortin, Fortin de Las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico.
