Field Notes

Description:

Ochre moth with slim dark fringe at the rounded edge of its arrow-head shaped wings. 2-3cm. A barely discernible dark spot half-way along the outer edge of each wing. Other pattern is visible near the bottom edge of the wings and may show up in different circumstances or day-night. Upright stance. Spots on wings may indicate different species, genus is correct.

Notes:

file #black fringe moth similar to Osiriaca. These moths show different colours on different moths. I have another spotting of this that looks more like the reference somewhere in here
