Great capture Shah, congrats on the well deserved SOTD and thanks for sharing
Congratulations Shah, your beautiful Asiatic lions have been chosen as our Spotting of the Day for World Wildlife Day: "oday is #WorldWildlifeDay! World Wildlife Day celebrates the day of the signature of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). In 2018 World Wildlife Day has a special focus: "Big cats: predators under threat". Over the past century big cats have been lost at an alarming rate. The Asiatic lions (Panthera leo leo) seen here survive only in India's state of Gujarat, and are listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. They recovered from the brink of extinction in 2010, and are protected in the Gir National Park and four neighboring areas.
