Field Notes

Description:

it was strange to be in Colombia and see a butterfly I see in my own backyard. I'm pretty sure this is the common buckeye but it may be a different Junonia species.

Habitat:

grassy clearing in forest

Notes:

A lot of Buckeyes flew around the grassy clearing near the lodge in Tupana Aru private reserve.
