Field Notes

Description:

Unlike many other plants, this one grows downwards. The flower is about 15 cm tall and 9 cm wide from petal to petal. It has a large cluster of darker pink fruits that are about 1 by 11/2 cm. The fruits have a smooth leathery texture and have no smell.

Habitat:

This plant was found in the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. It was grown in a well-crared for and rich environment. The plant was growing in a cool slightly shady area.
