Field Notes

Description:

The seeds were about two centimeters in width and length. The outer coatings of the seeds were see-through and looked like plastic. In the middle of the seed coat was the seed. It was brown and about 1 centimeter big. The seeds were very light and adapted to wind dispersal.

Habitat:

I found these on the ground. The tree that produced the seeds was nowhere in sight. It was in a humid, shady part of the jungle. There were only a few seeds and no pod, so I think that the seeds got there through wind dispersal.

Notes:

Sorry about the blurry pictures.
