Field Notes

Description:

Medium sized hawk. White iris of the eye gives it the name.

Habitat:

Forest. It sat in the open and then, perhaps disturbed by the attention flew away to pose on the canopy of a tall tree...wish I had a better zoom. We were in a jeep, not allowed to get down.
