Field Notes

Description:

This arthropod was about 2 inches long. In the bottom left of the photo you can see part of an adult thumb for comparison. Its head is about 20-25 times smaller than its body. Underneath the grey wings, you can see a rainbow-colored exoskeleton. Two large antennae poke out from the head.

Habitat:

This was found during a mostly dry part of the year, on the edge of a secondary rainforest on a sunny day in Singapore. It was given partial shade by medium-size trees above it.
