Description:
The ginger plant was about 50 cm tall. It is unknown if the plant had fruits or flowers. The leaf was smooth and waxy, with the leaf shape being conned obovate, and the venation being netted pinnate. The arrangement of the leaves was opposite. The leaves were almost 20 cm long and 4.5 cm wide. The root system was prop and stilt, and the bark (the stem) was smooth, with some bumpy sides and edges.
Habitat:
The plant was located in the Singapore American School secondary rainforest. It was found in clusters, deep among trees, providing a cool, shaded, and secluded area for them.
