Field Notes

Description:

The Mealybug Destroyer in the first photo had hairs on it's back that were about 2 cm long. The bug in the other photo was about 1 cm in every direction.

Habitat:

Secondary Rainforest at Singapore American School.

Notes:

These bugs are Dusky Lady Beetle Larvae. Mealybug Destroyers eat mealybugs, which are bugs that are considered pests because they kill plants, by feeding on their sap, and putting bacteria and fungi back into the plant,
