Field Notes

Description:

flying with a large flock of birds, male shoulder streak of yellow and red makes easy id, but with this one the patch of red partially covered and only seen when flew off; stocky, medium sized blackbird with broad shoulders, very common

Habitat:

open wooded area

Notes:

hundreds of birds that included Grackles, Starlings and Blackbirds were making a racket in the tops of the trees then landed on the ground to forage for a few moments; this was the only one who came close & to the feeder
