Field Notes

Description:

These acrobatic birds have a deep-blue iridescent back and a white breast. They are streamlined and small in size with long, pointed wings and a short, slightly notched tail.

Habitat:

Spotted in a state forest. This bird was relaxing on a post in a very busy parking area - seemingly not at all concerned with the traffic or people.
