Field Notes

Description:

Large snake (length). Dark with yellow marks.

Habitat:

Sunning itself by the side of a rainwater drain alongside a road in a residential colony. It was clear that it was relaxing in the sun after having climbed out of the water. It was hardly a foot from my neighbour's main gate...I was leaving when I saw it. I had time to get my camera , come back and take a few shots. Just had to be careful people on the road did not stop to ask what I was shooting because they would have stoned the snake, although it is non venomous anyway.

Notes:

We have large waterbodies around here so we see these snakes quite often.
