Field Notes

Description:

large black butterfly with striking iridescent green markings and long white tails

Habitat:

primary rainforest

Notes:

One of the most striking butterflies I've ever seen. I spotted it when we first arrived at our second camp in the jungle. I chased it around trying to get a few pics before it flew off and I never saw another one.

Thank you for the ID Reza. It looks right to me unless bayucca disagrees. Thank you Jared and Nuwan for the comments.
